Today’s wedding reception brought a new-to-us challenge that we were excited to take on. Working within a tight budget while still achieving this very popular look pushed us creatively and honestly, I think we nailed it.

It was definitely a learning curve, but that’s the beauty of saying yes to challenges! Now we know exactly how to price, design, and execute this look in a more budget-conscious way for future events. Growth looks good on us 😎🌿

Ashley had a Friends-themed vow renewal and somehow ended up booking the one florist who has THE Friends door in her studio.

What are the actual odds?! This one was absolutely meant to be!!

Calla lilies always feel like a wild card flower to me not an every-week studio staple, but when they show up, they SHOW UP 😆

This week just happened to line up with white callas for one wedding and burgundy callas for another. Same flower, totally different vibe, same week. What are the actual odds?? We rarely get them!

I love moments like this because it’s such a good reminder that one flower can feel modern, romantic, moody, or timeless depending on color + how it’s used. Callas are bold, clean, and a little dramatic lol Which makes them fun to design with every once in a while! 🤪

And as always…it comes down to budget and product choice!

If a client really wants a few elevated pieces but their budget is lower than what you normally do, this is where education matters. You can still achieve that elevated look by:
• using less expensive product
• adjusting quantities
• staying open to different flowers while matching the color palette

This only works if the client is flexible and if you want to take it on!

In my opinion, florists can work with all budgets… but not every florist wants to, and that’s totally okay. Everyone runs their business differently, and that’s what makes this industry so good! 🌿🌸

No gatekeeping. Just options, transparency, and boundaries!

We always suggest front facing design if it’s being repurposed where it won’t be seen 360. We’re constantly making notes on our proposal sheets, recipe sheets and sticky notes to ensure nothing gets left behind.

In this case we’re writing down what’s in the hydration chamber so we don’t accidentally cut stems too short that are already broken from processing. If we didn’t do this we would’ve cut 6 stems of ranunculus for no reason and they would’ve gone to waste.
