This design started with a flower pull! 🌸

Our rep Rachel picked out a variety of blooms for us to play with and this is what came out of it! 🤩

A flower pull is when you give your rep a budget and some guidance on what you’re looking for and they pull together flowers based on that! We love this because we get to sometimes play with new product and it’s a fun surprise to open the box and see what’s in there!

She pulled:
— Pincushion protea for bold texture
— Ranunculus for softness and color layering
— Kangaroo paw for height and playful movement
— Rhododendron for richness - 🆕 to us!
— Calendula for that cheerful pop - 🆕 to us!

We filled in with nagi, salal, and a few anemones to complete the look.

Have you ever created something just to see where it takes you while designing?

I’ve never been more embarrassed on a wedding day than I was a few weeks ago…😣

We made a major mistake and I want to talk about it. We didn’t follow through on something super important to our bride: her mono floral bridesmaid bouquets. Instead, we designed our standard mini versions of the bridal bouquet. WHY? Because mistakes happen and we missed it. 😞

As soon as she brought it up (so kindly I might add), we dropped everything and started pulling them apart to remake them on site. Right there. In the venue. Sweating. 😅

I felt defeated. I was overwhelmed and honestly a little heartbroken that I’d missed such a crucial detail. But it was a turning point.

👰🏼‍♀️Brides, this part’s for you: if something isn’t right on your wedding day, say something!! Kindly, calmly, directly. You deserve to have your vision honored and we can’t fix what we don’t know. Our bride handled this situation with so much grace, and it allowed us to make it right instead of her walking away disappointed. Even though I was extremely embarrassed that our bride pointed this out I was so grateful she did. 🌸 @hanna__low thanks for being the best!!!

Mistakes are inevitable even when you live by systems and organization like I do. What matters more is how you handle them in the moment. ☑️

This one moment could’ve derailed the entire day, but instead it became a trust building moment with our bride. She was thrilled with the fix, and it ended up being the right design choice all along.

So if you’re in the industry, here’s your reminder: you’re going to mess up. Own it, fix it, and learn from it. That’s what builds a reputation that actually matters!

Create bundles to cover the foam vs individual pieces. You can design a lot faster this way! It took about 5-10 minutes to complete this design!

I can’t believe it’s taken this long to do this…

We prep everything else when it’s dry so why not this?

We started putting our zip ties through our cages when we pull supplies on Monday! 💥 GAME CHANGER 🤯

There’s no more forgetting and having to do it after the arch piece is made. It’s genius and we’re so smart 🤪

When we soak the cage we fill the sink up and drop the cage in with the zip ties. It soaks up just like it would without the zip ties. 👏🏻

Our favorite color palette headed out the door this morning for Madison & Josh’s wedding! 💙🤍🌿

Our favorite color palette headed out the door this morning for Madison & Josh’s wedding! 💙🤍🌿

First time making a flower crown… for a horse.
(Okay fine, it was a mini donkey but she served Kentucky Derby realness.)

We kept it super simple: started with a base of Italian Ruscus and built out a floral collar using bind wire. We wired on everything roses, carnations, filler, right down the line and then connected both ends to make a full circle that sat perfectly on our four-legged friend.

Was I stressed about water? Absolutely. It was HOT in Texas and I was panicking about how the blooms would hold up. But truthfully? It was way more important that everything was secure and snug on the collar than having a water source. The flowers held up beautifully for what we needed.

This was our first go at a floral collar like this, and honestly it worked like a charm. I’ve got another method up my sleeve that I’ll share next week…stay tuned for Flower Crown for a Donkey/Horse: Round 2.

🌟If you’ve got a vision in your head even if it’s super specific or something you’ve never seen on Pinterest go for it. It’s your wedding. Your vibe. Your moment. Not your aunt’s, not your coworker’s, not the internet’s.

One of the biggest floral tips I can give is this:
Just because you can’t find it online doesn’t mean it’s wrong.
Not every great idea has already gone viral. In fact, some of the most original, jaw-dropping designs we’ve done came from couples who weren’t afraid to get a little unconventional. 😎

Let’s talk bridesmaid bouquets because mono floral designs are having a moment (and I’m here for it)!!! This past weekend proved to me even more so that we love it. 🤩🤩 Whether it’s a bundle of fluffy white roses, soft pink ranunculus, or even something unexpected like sweet peas or tulips, choosing just one flower can actually make a bigger statement. It feels modern, intentional, and totally elevated. Plus, it helps create a cohesive look across your bridal party without feeling too matchy-matchy. Don’t overthink it. If you’re drawn to one bloom…lean in.

✅❌ Pinterest is a double-edged sword. It’s full of inspo but it can also box you in. If you can’t find an exact photo of what you’re picturing, that doesn’t mean your idea is weird or impossible. If you’re not seeing the perfect shade of mauve or the exact bouquet shape you’ve dreamed about, that’s not a sign to give up. It’s a sign that you’re onto something unique.

And that’s where hiring experienced vendors comes in. We’re not here to copy and paste someone else’s wedding. We’re here to take your original thoughts, dig into them, and bring them to life even if they’re not trending or pinned 10,000 times.

We love being challenged creatively! We love the “how can we make this work?” moments. And most of all we love when a couple shows up with an idea that’s all their own.

Truthfully, I wasn’t planning to do anything with my bouquet. Flowers hit differently for me (florist life), and preserving it didn’t feel necessary…until Cristina reached out. She offered to do this for us out of the kindness of her heart and suddenly I started second guessing everything.

Cristina and I have never met in person, but she feels like an old friend. You know those people who just get it? That’s her. We all know how hard running a business is especially in busy season and yet she took the time to create this for us.

Cristina, thank you for preserving something so personal and meaningful. It’ll live proudly in our home, and every single person who walks through the door will see it. 🤍💙

Remember when I say to use what you have and slowly build?

In the beginning we didn’t have fancy crates or anything like that. We cut X’s into our flower boxes and transported our designs like that. It’s easy, saves money and you can do it ahead of time.

My biggest advice when starting out is that you don’t need the fancy stuff. Save your money and use what you have on hand first. Slowly build overtime! 🌸

A daily order for a loyal customer plus a prom set going out this morning! For the prom order we did a small bouquet + boutonnière + a small arrangement for his dates mom. We thought that was so sweet & kind!

Did we have to say yes to these? No, but we do what we can when we can! 😊

A daily order for a loyal customer plus a prom set going out this morning! For the prom order we did a small bouquet + boutonnière + a small arrangement for his dates mom. We thought that was so sweet & kind!

😱 TRUST YOUR GUT is all I can say 😬

Holy hell y’all if we didn’t get those bricks in the morning I truly don’t know what we would’ve done. 🫠 For some reason in the morning I had this feeling that we were going to need extra support to weigh the trays down and a lot of extra flowers.

We always bring some flowers in case stuff breaks during transit but this feeling was something else. We brought every leftover stem that went with this wedding and thank goodness we did. We ended up using every single stem between replacing broken product from the wind at the ceremony site and then after we moved it to the reception.

The wind did a number on these arrangements but we were prepared! It was nutty but we got the job done. ✅

Zip ties and 🧱 are your best friend. Add these to your car/toolbox if you don’t already have them!

PS. We’ve casket saddles as well and with the wind that day we would’ve had to do the same thing with the bricks. We used single brick trays here. The wind was insane. 💨

Have you ever used it or gotten it before? It’s the best spring filler flower. Definitely better than baby’s breath or wax in my opinion! 😆

We popped it into the box and started designing! Worked like a charm and it took about 15 minutes from start to finish. 🙌🏻

Also, why did I use a knife to cut a few stems???? Where did that come from!? I’ve never in my life been able to do that and here I did it on site when we were trying to stay ahead of schedule. 😆 Haha the things that occur when you least expect it!

Still soaking up all the love from yesterday! Thank you for the birthday wishes, the sweet messages, the thoughtful gifts, and just making me feel really special. 💙

Cristian + the fam put together a little get together at the winery last night for me and it was the perfect timing to get me out of the studio.

One things I’ve realized over the years is that work will always be there but your people won’t. Plan the trips, plan the date nights and take time to be with your people. I’ve never been a pro at work life balance but I’ve been trying really hard to prioritize time with the ones I love.

Yesterday was just that! 🤍 Now back to the studio I go! 🤩

Thinking about using a beverage cooler as a floral cooler?

It works!! We’ve had multiple of them in our studio. We currently have 3 + a walk in cooler.

But I made a mistake. 😵‍💫🫨

Our newest cooler, Brenda, was turned on and ready to go for the week but I didn’t check the temperature. I completely forgot!

We processed product yesterday and put buckets in the cooler. 6 hours later I find our product frozen/burned from the temperature being set too low. Panic set in but our girl @rlinflwrs has our back!

Remember that everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect. This was a costly mistake but a lesson we learned the hard way. Sometimes that’s what it takes for it to not happen again. 🫠

This surprise tulip delivery deserved a permanent spot on the feed! 🌷 ☀️

Every spring, Rachel sends me a few bunches just for me. There’s no reason for it beside the fact that it makes me happy. Haha I even budget for it. 😆

I don’t usually keep fresh flowers in the house the rest of the year (I want everyone else to enjoy them!), but this little spring tradition always sparks some serious joy especially on the hard days.

It’s the small things. Like tulips. 🌷

This was my first traditional round bridal bouquet with all white roses and I used the spiral technique to build it out.

It kept everything snug, round, and looking way fancier than I felt making it. Proof that even seasoned florists are still learning new tricks! 👏🏻

Someone greens them in then someone else adds the blooms it’s become a little routine that helps us stay in sync and knock these out quickly without compromising on design.

Whether it’s 5 or 25 of these babies, this method keeps us sane and on schedule 👏

Florists, if you’re doing lots of repetitive designs, splitting the tasks like this is a game changer!

Swung by @17southsteakhouse this afternoon to deliver some rehearsal dinner flowers, and WOW this place is a total gem! The restaurant is gorgeous, and the upstairs space is seriously perfect for events. Such a great vibe, amazing atmosphere…10/10 recommend!

Fun fact: Sam and Eric (the owners) also run @hiddencreekatstonehaus and @raeallenphoto basically your dream team in one. It’s a one-stop shop for weddings, events, and photography. Love to see friends crushing it in all the ways!

So glad we got to stop in, catch up, and check out their newest venture. If you’re local, you have to check them out! And don’t miss their Jazz Night! Cristian and I are definitely going soon!

I wanted to share another price breakdown for you! This tray is $275.00+tax. We’re located in Texas and we’re a wedding and event florist only.

I understand that not everyone is going to agree or understand our prices and THAT’S OKAY! We’re all charging different amounts because of the cost of the product + how your business is run.

The cost of the product + supplies will shift your overall cost plus your markup. Of course there’s a standard mark up in the industry but it comes down to your overhead, labor, etc. There’s so many factors that go into your overall cost besides the flowers. Most people don’t think about those aspects when they see designs. They judge the size and the flowers not really knowing! That’s why education and transparency is so important.

Remember this:
- labor
- water
- supplies
- time
- cost of flowers
- delivery/shipping
Are just a few of the many things that factor into our price.

We don’t just charge what we charge to “rip off” or “price gauge” our clients. If we wanted to go there let’s talk about the price of a new phone from Apple or a new car 😆😂

This tray could also be designed with 1 type of flower and there maybe 4-5 stems because that one flower is SO expensive.

Pricing boils down to how many varieties of flowers, what type of flowers, supplies, design, time and a hell of a lot more.
